Pause Fest is a manifestation of the digital and creative industries featuring the world's most
creative minds of the 21st century within the Melbourne CBD.

AUTOLUMINESCENT: ROWLAND S. HOWARD
Guitarist, songwriter and artist Rowland S. Howard was an instrumental figure in the Australian rock scene, particularly renowned for his role in seminal post-punk outfit The Birthday Party.
His was a singular talent, cut short by an untimely death in 2009. Directed by Richard Lowenstein (Dogs in Space) and featuring interviews with Nick Cave, Henry Rollins, Thurston Moore,
Barry Adamson and many more. Has just started showing in cinemas - a must see.

Nicos Livesey's Insanestop motion vids
So here you are: “Train Logger” and “Ratin Gorleg,” by the London-based illustrator and animator Nicos Livesey.
To make the insanity, Livesey created a colorful log of plasticine containing geometric forms and patterns. He then sliced away two-millimeter pieces, photographing the inside and moving the camera two millimeters closer as he went along. "The process completely bends your mind," the artist says. “It's like making a whole load of little “prizes” that set off once you slice through it.”
